Waiting in line to vote and your manifesto

Last week saw Britain hold the 2015 General Election. In the 2010 election there was chaos at polling stations across the country. Many people who’d been waiting in line for hours, were turned away, unable to cast their votes before the 10pm deadline.

Since this debacle the laws around voting cut off times have been changed. It’s important to keep your business up to date, just as it is important to make sure those waiting in a queue to speak to you are happy. When your customers phone you, they should be informed of your ‘manifesto’ and what you’ve got to offer them!

Whilst you might not be keeping your customers hanging on the line for hours, being stuck in a queue can cause a bit of frustration. As Harold Wilson once said “A week is a long time in politics” and five minutes is a long time on-hold! Just as our government needs a refresh every so often, your On-Hold Marketing does too. It needs to be up to date with your latest announcements, news and offers and perhaps less dated on-hold music?

No matter which way you voted this year, no one deserves a poor on-hold experience.
